Open a Google Doc to save your sources

1. Explore your topic:  Find one Source

Find one good source.  Write down two questions and five keywords related to your topic.

2.  OneSearch

Build a search based on what you've learned about your topic. You may need to revise your keywords or search strategies or use the filters on the left side to narrow down your search..  

Once you have a good results list, pick one source to review in detail:

  • Write some notes on why you like this source and how it will help you learn about this topic.
  • Review the subjects, citatons, and authors associated with this topic.
  • email the source
  • copy the citation

3. Reconsider your Topic

Reconsider your research questions and keywords.

Tweak your topic based on what you've learned and any new questions or ideas you have.

4. Revise your Search

Based on what you've learned, do another search in OneSearch or one of the Library Databases
