This subject guide is designed to help you do History research using the library resources. You can navigate through the guide by using the tabs above. Each tab contains information and links to resources used by students and faculty.

However, you should still know how to get to Library resources from the Library Homepage:

  Library Card Application

You need a card to access databases from home, checkout laptops, use textbooks on reserve, AND checkout your monographs!

  Network Account

You need this to use Cabrillo computers or Wi-Fi on campus
Other Libraries
When you need to borrow a resource from another library: InterLibrary Loan (ILL) and UCSC
InterLibrary Loan (ILL) books or articles. Go to the Reference Desk to complete form.
UCSC privileges include visiting the Library and using books, journals and databases on campus.  Working with a Reference Librarian, you may also obtain a short-term library card to UCSC if we cannot find enough resources for your research topic.
  • Open: a Word document to record and save your resources (citation and notes).
  • Type: Name, Topic/Argument
  • Save: to the Desktop -for printing and emailing attachment to yourself
  • Gather: 3 sources, including books and articles
  • Print and turn in document to Dr. Buller at the end of class
