Local Newspaper Sources

Let’s get Local: Search the Santa Cruz Sentinel.
Cabrillo Library has a microfilm collection dating from 1866.
Santa Cruz Public Library also maintains a Microfilm collection of SEVERAL local newspaper titles.
The Santa Cruz Sentinel microfilm dates from June 1, 1866 – June 30, 2009.  However, the microfilm service was discontinued after June 2009. You can search the online Sentinel, but the Archives only go back to 1999

    2. Click on The Historical New York Times for coverage 1851-2005
    3. Historical New York Times has fulltext articles for the following national newspapers: NY Times, LA Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Christian Science Monitor.

    Use the Advanced search: search on more than one variable at a time AND limit by time period.
