1.  Library Card Application  You need a library card to access databases from home, checkout laptops, use textbooks on reserve

2.  Network Account  You need a network account to use Cabrillo computers or Wi-Fi on campus.

3.  Printing Account.  You can add money to your printing account at print pay stations located in the Watsonville CTC, the Aptos CTC, or the Library.   For more information watch this Video on How to Print.

Library Visit I

1.  Find a source for your essay

  • Browse Issues in Opposing Viewpoints.  Find a topic related to your essay that provides historical context or evidence
  • email yourself the article

2.  Create MLA citation for your works cited list

  • Find the MLA citation for your works cited list

3. Cite something from your article using MLA citation

  • Cite one interesting fact you learned from this article using MLA citation

4.  Find one additional source for your essay

  • Return to the page on your topic
  • Select one additional source (a viewpoint essay, academic journal article, primary source, etc.)

Library Visit II

1.  Find an article that provides historical context or evidence for your essay

2.  Create a MLA citation 

3.  Find at least one fact or idea you want to paraphrase for your essay

4.  Find at least one comment your want to quote for your essay
