SuperSearch Print Page


SuperSearch looks for print books, ebooks, and articles from the library databases.  It is a quick way to search across library collections and get thousands of results.


  • How is SuperSearch different from the Library Catalog?
    The Library Catalog searches for books, SuperSearch searches for books and articles
  • How is SuperSearch different from Google Scholar?
    Google Scholar links you to free online articles and articles you can pay for. SuperSearch links you to articles the library has already paid from databases such as Academic Search Complete and CQ Researcher
  • What resources are available in SuperSearch?
    Print books, ebooks, and articles from databases such as Academic Search Complete, America: History & Life, CINAHL, CQ Researcher, ERIC, Gale Biography, Gale Virtual Reference Library, Health Source Nursing/Academic, Literature Resource Center, Medline, and Gale Opposing Viewpoints.
  • What resources are not available in SuperSearch?
    ProQuest Historical New York Times, Proquest National Newspapers Core, CountryWatch, and RAND California.
  • How do I refine my search?
    Add limiters on the left-hand side to refine your results. Limit your results to full-text articles, scholarly articles, books, recent publications, or other limiters.
  • All I want to find is books. How can I do this?
    Add the limiter Source Type --> Books to limit your results to print and ebooks
  • How can I email or export records from SuperSearch?
    You can email individual records to yourself or save a list of results in a folder and email the entire folder list to yourself
  • Can I use SuperSearch on my cell phone or tablet?
    SuperSearch will automatically switch to a mobile version when viewing from your phone or tablet
