Welcome to the Library orientation for CG 51! To move through the orientation, please review all content on each of the above tabs (Library Overview, Print Books, Databases).


Watsonville Center

The Watsonville Center offers many of the same resources that the Aptos campus offers including:

  • Librarian support-research, reference, and citation
  • Print Reference and Browsing Book Section
  • Computer Access
  • Free Textbook Use
  • Study Spaces
  • Printing Services




1.  Get a Free Library Card: You need a Cabrillo library card to access online library resources from home, and to check out books, textbooks, and laptops. How to get your Cabrillo College Library card.

2.  Find Your Study Space: Visit the library to check out the study carrels, tables, group study rooms, quiet study rooms, and other work spaces.  Where would you study?

3.  Identify Library resources you think you will use: Print books, eBooks, textbooks on reserve, or online library databases (articles).

4.  Printing: Use a print pay station to add money to your print account (located in the Library, Transfer Center, STEM Center, CTC, and the Watsonville CTC).   How to Print video.

    Printing .10 cents for black and white prints, .50 cents for color prints
    Study Spaces Group study rooms, Quiet study rooms, Tables, and Individual study carrels
    Free Textbooks

    The library buys every textbook that costs over $50 and places it on "reserve" behind the checkout desk

    Most books are available for 2-hour checkout.  Overnight checkout M-Th after 5:45, due back by 8:45am; weekend checkout F after 1:45pm, due back Monday 8:45am

    Use the library's Textbook/Reserves link to search by course (e.g. MATH 154) or instructor (e.g. Garcia)

    Librarians are available to help with research, citations and general Cabrillo questions. Student Techs can help with printing, logging in, and other technical questions
