Library Assignment

Visit 1

  • Homework:  Review notes & readings to identify a topic you want to learn more about.  Write down at least 5 keywords (relevant terms, people, places, events).
  • Find one film, book or article.  Look at sources together:  what are their research methods?  What kinds of sources and evidence are they using?

Visit 2

  • Homework:  Read your book or article.  Identify additional sources & keywords.
  • Search for additional sources.  Look at sources together:  what are their research methods?  What kinds of sources and evidence are they using?

Visit 3:  Appointment with a Librarian

  • What do you have so far?  
  • Citation review.
  • Interlibrary loan, primary sources, data & statistics
