Citation & Style Guides

Papers using MLA citation style include:

  • A Works Cited page a the end of the paper listing all sources used.
  • The title Works Cited is centered and bolded at the top of the page.
  • Citations are alphabetized by author's last name
  • Each entry is double-spaced
  • The first line of each entry is at the left margin; additional lines are indented with a hanging indent 1/2 inch from the margin.

Making Citations is a Two-part Process

1. In-text: enclose the author's name and page number in parentheses.

2. Works Cited entry: Add the full citation of the corresponding source into the Works Cited list.


Part 1: In-text citations

Stressful challenges have surfaced with the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic (“Coping with Stress”). The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on healthcare workers (Antonijevic  et al.).


Part 2: Work Cited entries
